Yarn: Worsted weight yarn (#4)

1 skein each:

-Pink (I Love This Yarn in “Pink”)

-Yellow (I Love this Yarn in “Buttercup”)

-Green (Red Heart in “Melon”)

-Blue (I Love this Yarn in “Soft Blue”)

-Purple (I Love this Yarn in “Orchid”)

2 skeins :

-White (I Love this Yarn in “White”)

Square

Ch 5, sl st to first ch to form a ring.

Rnd 1: Ch 3 (counts a first dc, now and throughout), 2 dc in ring, *ch 3, 3 dc in ring*, rep twice from * to *, ch3, join with sl st to top of first dc. (four ch-3 spaces)

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, *shell in ch-3 space (shell = 2dc, ch 3, 2dc), dc in next 3 dc* rep twice from * to *, shell in last ch-3 space, join with sl st to top of first dc.

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next 4 dc, *shell in ch-3 space, dc in next 7 dc* rep twice from * to *, shell in last ch-3 space, dc in next 2 dc, join with sl st to top of first dc.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in each dc around with 3 sc in each ch-3 space, join with sl st to first sc, break off yarn.

Make 5 squares of each: pink, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

Make 24 squares of white.

Total = 49 squares

Construction:

Whipstitch squares together with white yarn into seven strips according to chart. Then whipstitch the strips together according to the chart.


Border:

Rd 1: Join white in any stitch on the edge, ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in each st around with 5 sc in the corners. Join with sl st to top of first sc.
Rd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in each st around with 5 sc in the corners. Join with sl st to top of first sc, finish off. Hide all ends.
