Using the basic ideas of knitting I came up with this easy/beginner knit hat that is a perfect stash-buster.
29. Knit even around
30. K3, K2tog, repeat around
31. Knit even around
32. K2, K2tog, repeat around
33. Knit even around
34. K1, K2tog, repeat around
35. Knit even around
36. K2tog, repeat around
37. K2tog, repeat around
Cut long tail and using yarn needle run through remaining loops and remove from DPNs, pull tight and finish off.

Hold 2 strands of worsted wt yarn as one
8 mm (US11) circular needles/DPNs

K2, P2 rib for 9 rounds
Knit even for 18 rounds
-Switch to DPNs-
