Hexagon Baby Blanket

My mother always says that baby blankets should not have holes in them (lacy). So here is a hole-less baby blanket that I hope will make her proud!

Hook: H

Yarn used: Red Heart Baby Econo (#4) 1 skein each Light Pink and Carousel Print

Size: 32 in

Ch 4, join with first ch to form a ring

Rnd 1: ch 1, 11 sc into ring, sl st into first ch to join

Rnd 2: ch 3, *3 dc into next sc, 1 dc in next sc* (rep four more times), 3 dc in next sc , join to top of ch 3

Rnd 3: ch 3, dc in next dc, *3 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc* (rep four more times), 3 dc in next dc, dc in next dc, join to top of ch 3

Rnd 4: ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, *3 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc* (rep four more times), 3 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, join to top ch 3

Rnd 5 +: continue increasing in this manner until reaching the desired size. The easiest way to do this is to dc in each dc and make a 3 dc cluster in the center stitch of every 3 dc cluster.

Final edging round: ch 1, sc in same st as joining, sc in each dc around with 3 sc in center st of each 3 dc cluster, join and break off yarn. Hide any ends.

In my example, I did 31 total rounds (30 dc rounds and 1 sc edging round).
